Classes

12Prior to every dance we offer a FREE beginner and intermediate lesson. 
No partner is required.
 
We currently, as of April 12, 2026, have a performance group class.  It will continue every other Sunday for a total of 10 sessions.  The cost for the entire class is $50.  Contact Owen Richetti at lexswingdance@gmail.com for more information. 
It is NOT too late to join this class.

We strive to have several all day dance workshops several times a year.  These are typically open to all skill levels and can cover any of our promoted styles of swing dancing including Lindy Hop, Balboa, Blues, West Coast, Shag, etc.



Lessons

LINDY HOP

The Lindy Hop is an American swing dance that evolved in Harlem, New York City, in the 1920s and 1930s and originally evolved with the jazz music of that time.

CHARLESTON​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The Charleston is a swing dance named for the harbor city of Charleston, South Carolina. The rhythm was popularized in mainstream dance music in the United States.

BALBOA

The original Balboa dance is a form of swing dance that started as early as 1915 and gained in popularity in the 1930s and 1940s. It is danced primarily in close embrace, and is led with a full body connection.

BLUES

Blues dancing is a family of historical dances that developed alongside and were danced to blues music, or the contemporary dances that are danced in that aesthetic.
