This 2 week workshop will go over what I have learned over the course of DJing (swing dances and other music scenes) the past 18 years. Topics we will cover include equipment used, music selection and playlists, reading the crowd, etiquette, etc. You may want to come in with your music gear (laptop/ipod/smart phone) as we will be doing some playlist setup and listening. This workshop is meant to cover a good portion of “Swing Dance” material but can obviously be used in other scenes where you will be providing the music.
